From our family, to yours

We are one of the only independent, family-run, psychology services in the UK. We do not outsource any of our work, which means we can provide a consistent and personalised service. From our family to yours.

An approach built around you

With our expertise, we’ll work closely with you to understand your hopes and wishes for your time with us. From this, you may choose from one of our support packages or we can build a bespoke service offer, just for you. That’s our starting point, always. Our services are delivered in the community just ten minutes from Norwich city centre, and throughout the UK, both in person and remotely, for your convenience. It’s your service, your way.

Kindness by design

Kindness makes the world go round. That’s why we’re leading the way in inclusive services. We offer concessions* for those on low incomes, block session bookings, and, in some cases, a limited ‘pay what you can’ offer. For education organisations, we offer ad hoc support and service packages. Whatever you’re looking for, we will beat any like-for-like quote. We’re here to help.

Our Services

Assessments

We offer strength-based and person-centred assessments to children, young people and adults, from birth. We cover vast areas of need, including learning, social interaction and communication, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. We use both dynamic assessments – which emphasises what the person can do when they have the right support – and standardised assessments as necessary and suitable to the situation.

Litigation proceedings are stressful for everyone involved. We take a solution-orientated approach to support resolutions, not conflict. We specialise in SENDIST appeals, educational and clinical negligence, and personal injury claims as it relates to children or adults who were aged from birth to 25-years old, at the time of the incident. We are also able to provide expert advice on issues relating to capacity (MCA, 2005) and Section 444 proceedings (Education Act 1996). We can help at any point of the process, from mediation to expert assessment, testimony and attendance at court. We take individual or joint instructions from parents, carers, law firms, courts, social care, local authorities, and youth justice services.

Education, health & care needs assessments & plans

Demand for EHCNAs and EHCPs is high. Local authorities only have finite resources but parents, quite rightly, want to ensure all the needs of their child are understood and met. The processes are usually cumbersome, bureaucratic, and difficult to understand. We take a child-centred approach and offer high-quality advice and impartial guidance to parents, settings, and local authorities. So, whether you’re at the Graduated Response or the EHCNA itself; we’re with you every step of the way.

Therapy

We understand you may have all sorts of feelings about beginning therapy, but we’re here to make the process as smooth as possible, no matter who you are.

Nick specialises in Narrative Therapy. He draws on storytelling and creative arts in his approach. He works with those experiencing bereavement (particularly child loss), body image issues, and recovery from interpersonal distress (e.g., domestic violence, bullying, school-based trauma, etc.). He works with children (8+ years) and adults.

Nikki specialises in the Children’s Accelerated Trauma Technique (CATT). She draws on play and personal construct psychology (PCP) in her approach. She sees clients experiencing difficult childhood memories which may be related to intrusive thoughts, low self-esteem, anxiety, and sleep disturbances, for example. Her clients are typically children (4+ years) and adults who would like to work creatively.

Just having Nikki coming in has made a huge amount of difference, to be honest.

Parent

My experience with Nick is more than 5 stars! What my daughter, and us as family, have achieved so far is amazing! Nick has definitely helped with the way we communicate as a family.

Parent

We have now got something we can do at home as well, which is helping both of us, so we are both getting a lot from that one session.

Parent

Nick was friendly, compassionate, kind, empathetic and thorough. I would highly recommend him without any reservations.

Adult client

I have been to counsellors before, and it just didn’t do anything for me. I needed someone to listen and to guide me a little bit, without telling me what to do. knowing what I’ve been through now with Narrative Therapy, it ticks all the boxes.
